46212 Moonridge Dr, Big Bear Lake CA

Entry fee will be $35.00 per person, and will host a Taco Bar and Live Music. The patio will be open from 6:00PM to 8:30PM, so arrive at your leisure.

Porsche History

Porsche is a renowned automobile manufacturer that specializes mainly in producing sports cars. The German automobile maker has succeeded in producing sports cars that are known for performance, quality, and reliability. Above all, the Porsche is popular for producing prestigious sports cars that can be used for everyday driving.

Late 1970s - 1980s:

  • By the late 1970s, Porsche had produced over 300,000 models.

  • In 1982, Porsche Cars North America was established in Nevada.

  • The 956 and 959 models achieved significant success.

  • In 1986, the Porsche 944 became the first car in the USA with airbags on both sides.

  • Production of the iconic 911 reached 250,000 units by 1987.

1990s:

  • Focus shifted to the 911 Turbo and the Boxster concept.

  • In 1996, Porsche celebrated its one-millionth vehicle.

  • The new 911 in 1998 marked a significant departure in design and technology.

  • The millennium ended with Porsche mourning the loss of Ferry Porsche in 1998.

2000s:

  • The Boxster and Boxster S received upgrades in 2000.

  • The Carrera GT was introduced.

  • Notable models like the 911 GT2 and Cayenne Turbo were released in subsequent years.

  • The Porsche Museum opened in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen in 2009.

2010s:

  • Milestones included the Panamera GTS, 50th-anniversary 911 model, and the Porsche 911 Targa.

  • Achievements like the Le Mans victory in 2015 and production of the one-millionth 911 in 2017 were celebrated.

  • The debut of the first fully electric Porsche, the Taycan, took place in 2019.

Present Day:

  • Porsche, now under Volkswagen AG, focuses on sedans, SUVs, hypercars, and high-performance sports cars.

  • Subsidiaries include Porsche Consulting and Mieschke Hofmann und Partner.
